What to send in a copyright notice

Your notice must include all items below. Incomplete notices may be rejected.

  1. Your contact details

  • Full name or company name

  • Role or authority for the rightsholder

  • Email and phone

  1. Work you claim is infringed

  • Title or description of the copyrighted work

  • If multiple works, provide a representative list

  1. The specific content on our service

  • Order ID and customer name if known

  • File name or upload ID if known

  • Date and time of upload if known

  • Any other data that lets us locate the exact file

  1. Legal statements

  • “I have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.”

  • “The information in this notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, I am authorized to act for the copyright owner.”

  • Signature (typed name is acceptable)

Only the copyright owner or an authorized representative may submit a valid copyright notice
Send all items in one message through the form or by email.

What happens next

  • We confirm receipt by email.

  • We evaluate whether the notice is sufficiently precise and substantiated.

  • If substantiated, we will pause or cancel the affected order, or block access to the file.

  • We notify the customer and provide a statement of reasons.

  • We may request more information if needed to identify the file.

Counter notice by the customer

If you are the customer and believe the notice is mistaken or misidentifies your file, send a counter notice with:

  1. Your contact details

  • Full name and address

  • Email and phone

  1. Identification of the file and order

  • Order ID and file name or upload ID

  • What was paused or cancelled

  1. Legal statements

  • “I have a good faith belief that the material was removed or the order was halted as a result of mistake or misidentification.”

  • “I consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which my address is located, or if my address is outside the United States, to the federal courts in [Insert venue city and state, for example, California]. I will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or their agent.”

  • Signature (typed name is acceptable)

After a valid counter notice, we will not resume processing for at least 10 business days and not more than 14 business days, unless the rightsholder informs us that a court action has been filed.

Misuse of notices

Knowingly sending false notices or false counter notices may create liability for damages and legal fees. Use this process only for copyright.

Repeat infringer policy

We may suspend or terminate accounts tied to repeated, substantiated infringement notices.

Data disclosure and privacy

  • We may disclose customer identification and order details to competent authorities or rightsholders when required by law or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

  • We limit disclosure to what is necessary and record our decision.

Preservation

We may preserve minimal file metadata, logs, and correspondence related to a notice for legal compliance and fraud prevention.

Language

We accept notices in English. If you submit in another language, provide an English translation for faster handling.
